UNJAILBREAK IPHONE USING CYDIA IMPACTOR

When you want to uninstall Cydia, there are a few ways to do this. You can either use something like iLexRat, Semi-Restore, or simply opt to restore to latest firmware via iTunes. But using Cydia Impactor, the process has been made even faster and simpler. Now you can choose to unjailbreak an iOS device without even having to connect your iPhone or iPad to a computer.
Thanks to Cydia Impactor, a recently released jailbreak tweak by Saurik, you can remove Cydia and all its related components and tweaks from the device. The end result would be you keeping the same iOS version while getting rid of jailbreak entirely.

Cydia Impactor is important to those who want to sell their iPhone or iPad to someone else, in factory settings. In addition to that, the device that used Cydia Impactor will be able to keep its ability to be jailbroken again, since the iOS version will not change.
Of course, you can always backup your Cydia tweaks before doing this, just in case if you you want to jailbreak your iOS device again and retain data of previously uninstalled jailbreak tweaks.
Important notes:
  • This is a beta release
  • Cydia Impactor is for iOS 8.4 and 8.3 only
  • Compatible with all devices except for the new iPod touch 6

How to unjailbreak iPhone or iPad using Cydia Impactor

  1. Open Cydia and install Cydia Impactor
  2. Go to Settings to backup your iOS device or connect to iTunes to do so
  3. Turn off Find My iPhone
  4. Launch Cydia Impactor and choose ‘delete all data and unjailbreak device’
Using Cydia Impactor means that all of your applications, data, and Cydia will be removed and settings will be revert back to their default values.
This could take a while, so you will need to be patient. The wait time depends on how much data you’ve stored on the device. The removal process is similar to when you uninstall/install a jailbreak tweak, there will be a screen telling you what’s going on

Just like when you restore your iPhone or iPad from iTunes, once the process is done, you will be greeted with a ‘Welcome message’ and will need to go through the initial setup. This includes entering your iCloud credentials, selecting a Wi-Fi network, choosing whether you want to enable Siri and Location Services or not. Once you are through that, you will be able to have access to your Springboard.
